(Movie) Bobs Burgers The movie

 

GOOD MOVIE ALERT!

           I visited my local Regal at the Oviedo Mall. I both love and dislike this theater because it is located within the dying corpse of a mall. Hardly anyone goes into this theater and even less go to the mall… and that’s why I like it. The best seats are always available. 

    Anyway, Bobs Burgers transitions rather well onto the big screen, the creators managed to make a film where you do not need to see series to make sense of it. But, there is just enough fan service to make those who have watched the series pleasantly surprised. There is a handful of musical numbers so be warned if you are not a fan of musicals. However, they don’t do them that often and they are rather worthwhile in how they push both the story and the characters forward. Plus, they’re funny. The film has some decent pacing but, it did slow down in the middle. My attention was lost to the point I felt comfortable going to the bathroom, I do regret this decision however because the rest of the film was worth it. I have made arrangements to see it again later this week. 

    If you’re a fan of animation then this is worth seeing. As for the music it is also very well written, sometimes the pacing is thrown through a loop but, that is all for the sake of each song being funny. As a character piece, this works very well. Each character is shown just enough love that you can pick a favorite. The villain did have some decent motives but, suffered from a lack of depth, that is if you’re watching as a fan of the series. Otherwise, this is a movie worth seeing and that is why it deserves a GOOD MOVIE ALERT!
